Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban

Glen-m’orange-ee believed to derive from either Gaelic gleann mor na sith meaning “vale of tranquillity” or gleann mór innse – “vale of big meadows”. Whatever the case, you certainly have a damn fine ability to make double casked whiskey and the Quinta Ruban is no exception. A Port Cask that has been “Extra Matured” in specially selected Port pipes from the Douro valley in Portugal.

The darkest and most intense whisky in the extra-matured range, Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban has spent 10 years maturing in American white oak casks, before being transferred into specially selected ruby port pipes from the Quintas or wine estates of Portugal. Extra maturation in these port pipes develops Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban into a voluptuous spirit with a complex balance of sweet and dry flavours and an intriguing contrast of smooth and crisp, cooling textures. Non chill-filtered for additional aroma and mouthfeel.

I want to unite old friends and share this amazing experience. Whether it be indulging on a few drams of single malt scotch or a unique bourbon I will always find it hard to resist not to diversify and expand our whisk(e)y horizons.
